november 27, 2004 Brother James' new CD, "Days", is out on Black Candy Records.

march 2003 Brother James are back in the studio to record their second release. Andrea Rovacchi (recording engineer for Giardini di Mirò and Julie's Haircut) takes care of taping and mixing it. The outcome is a 30-minute record featuring 5 new tracks, plus two tributes to Lou Reed and Bob Dylan.
   
2002 The band return to their practice space and gradually restart to play live.
   
2000/2001 Problems at home force Brother James to take an 18-month long pause, during which the band suspend both live activity and practicing.
   
march 1st, 2000 "Lack" is released by the German indie label fiction.friction. The CD, promoted and distributed in Italy by Gamma Pop Records, gets very good reviews from the Italian rock press, defining Brother James as one of the most intersting new bands on the Italian indie scene.
   
april 8-9, 1999 Brother James record their debut CD, "Lack": a 30-minute, 8-track snapshot of what the band have done in the last year.
   
april 25, 1998 The newly-reformed Brother James make their debut at the T.P.O. (Teatro Polivalente Occupato) in Bologna as support act for French band Ulan Bator. The band's line-up, still unchanged today, is: Matteo Berghenti (guitar, vocals); (bass, vocals); Rodolfo Villani (drums).
   
january-february 1998 Filippo (drums) and Carlo (guitar) leave the band. Giacomo and Matteo subsequently decide to carry on as a threesome, enrolling long-time friend Rodolfo Villani as their new drummer.
   
december 1st, 1997 The newly-born Italian indie label Gamma Pop Records releases the compilation "Metal Machine Muzak". The CD, featuring tracks by Brother James, Three Second Kiss, Ulan Bator and 17 other bands, earns rave reviews both from the Italian rock press and from international underground 'zines.
   
july 1996 Drummer Davide Dacci leaves the band and is replaced by Filippo Alinovi.
   
march 1996 The band release their first demo tape, which gets good reviews from Italian rock mags such as Rumore and Blow Up, and the band's sound gains comparisons to that of some of the best-known North-American independent rock bands.
   
spring 1995 Brother James get together for the first time. The original line-up includes Matteo Berghenti (guitar, vocals), Davide Dacci (drums), Carlo Malagnino (guitar) and (bass, vocals).
